Billing transparency
How monthly order limits work
Habah plans differ mainly by how many online orders you can take per month. This page matches what you see in Admin → Billing — no “unlimited” fine print.
Limits by plan
| Plan | Limit | Warning |
|---|---|---|
| Free ($0) | 45 orders per calendar month | Admin banner at 80% of limit |
| Starter ($14.99/mo) | 150 orders per calendar month | Admin banner at 80% of limit |
| Pro ($29/mo) | 5,000 orders per calendar month (safety cap) | Platform alert at 95% of limit |
What counts as one order
Each successful online checkout on your tenant shop increments your monthly counter.
- Counts: orders placed through your Habah storefront (cash, card on delivery, PayPal, etc.) once the order is created.
- Does not count: interactive demo checkout on habah.com/demo and other orders marked as demo in checkout.
- Does not count toward food commission — Habah does not charge a per-order platform fee on food sales.
Warnings before you hit the cap
Free and Starter show an in-admin upgrade banner when you reach 80% of your monthly limit. Pro triggers a platform-owner alert at 95% because the cap is a safety limit, not a typical workload.
5-day grace after you exceed the limit
When your count goes above your plan limit, we record the time and checkout stays open for a short grace period so you are not cut off mid-service.
- 5 whole calendar days (UTC) after the first order above your limit.
- During grace, new orders still work — upgrade if you expect volume to stay high.
- Admin shows grace days remaining and when checkout would pause.
When checkout pauses
After grace ends, new customers cannot complete checkout until you upgrade to a higher plan or the month rolls over. Existing orders in the kitchen are not cancelled — you finish what is already in progress.
When the counter resets
Usage is tracked per calendar month in your restaurant timezone (the same timezone used for reports in admin). At the start of a new month, the order count resets to zero for billing limits.
Order limit FAQ
- Are phone or walk-in orders included?
- Only orders created through your Habah online checkout count toward the plan limit.
- What if I upgrade mid-month?
- Your new limit applies immediately; the current month’s count stays — you do not lose credit for orders already taken.
- How is this different from “unlimited orders” on other platforms?
- We publish clear numbers and enforce them predictably. Compare plans on our pricing section or the platform comparison table.
